WHO ARE THE OGA?

The Overland Guide Association is a group of like minded individuals who work professionally as Overland Guides or are involved in the industry through training or research.

We believe that by working together we are able to improve our industry, promote Good Practice and set standards that will improve safety and professionalism.

The OGA was founded in 2019 after several years of work by its members providing training and technical advice within the industry.

For many years the idea of a trade association was discussed. It has now happened and we hope to help our industry grow and mature.

Nathan Millward.

After various stints of employment I travelled to Australia in my twenties and through various twists and turns ended up riding back from there on a 105cc Australian Post bike named Dorothy. I wrote a book about that trip, plus the subsequent trip across America and up to Alaska on the same bike. In the few years that have followed I took up employment with Adventure Bike Rider magazine, editing that for over a year, before going freelance and currently writing for several mainstream titles here in the UK. I also do occassional stints on Adventure Bike TV and give presentations at various bike clubs and events.  Nathan is also a Certified Guide
